Domestic oil tank replacement

Safe oil storage is very important, as leaks can cause very costly problems. The regulations imposed on oil tank installations are for your benefit. So when working with our customers to install or replace their oil tank our first job is to carry out a FREE SITE SURVEY. This survey means that we will work with you to purchase the most appropriate tank and locate it in the best position with the minimum disruption.

The safety of bunded tanksBunded oil tank

There are many types of oil tanks available, for a range of applications. Bunded tanks offer added safety and peace of mind, as they are simply a tank within a tank. The outer tank has the ability to hold 110% of the volume of the inner tank, so if a leak happens the oil will be safely stored in the outer tank.

We supply Titan tanks and DESO tanks, both leading brands who offer a 10 year warranty.

The installation process

Having completed a site survey and agreed on the best tank for your purposes, a standard oil tank replacement procedure would be:

  • Pump out the oil from your existing tank into a holding tank
  • Remove the old tank (we will look after the safe disposal of it)
  • Prepare the base on which the tank sits
  • Install the oil tank, connecting to your pipe work
  • Transfer the oil back into your tank
  • Bleed the system and check for leaks
  • Tidy up and leave!
